PRIVATE FILE TRANSFER
Your files.
Your choice.
A student project exploring a safer way to share files between two devices, with receiver approval and encrypted file contents using browser cryptography.
STEP 01
Establish connection
Open this page on two devices. One device creates an ID; the other enters it to connect.
Keep this page open while the other device connects.
This QR contains your Peer ID. Share it only with the intended receiver.
Camera scanning usually requires HTTPS or localhost. If scanning doesn't work, paste the Peer ID manually.
Start as sender on one device and receiver on the other.
STEP 02
Share a file
Choose a small test file. The receiver must approve it before transfer begins.
Preparing transfer…
Testing only: file contents are encrypted with AES-GCM. Compare the encryption fingerprint on both devices before sending. This student prototype is not security-audited; use test files only.
Prototype status: connection and basic file transfer are demo milestones. This prototype uses ECDH key agreement and AES-256-GCM file encryption. Fingerprint comparison is a manual identity check; this prototype is not independently audited or production-ready.
